What does Rediscover Florida mean?

I’ve lived in Florida most of my life. For the longest time, I didn’t really care for Florida. I knew there was the beach… I knew there was Disney… But I was just going through the motions of life, and to me, Florida was nothing special.

Then during the pandemic, when there was nothing else to do, I finally picked up a copy of a book that had been sitting on my shelf for years unread. That book was Weird Florida, and it opened up my eyes to something I didn’t see before.

Wait, Florida was actually really cool! It was fun, it was strange… It had character! I wanted to know more. I was falling in love with a part of Florida history I didn’t know before.

And just like that, I had rediscovered Florida… Have you?
